User Bio: My great-great aunt was a major influence as far as my interest and passion for genealogy. She had raised my grandmother so there was a close bond with her. I'd spend many Saturday's as a young child visiting with her and listening to family tales as she shared pictures with me. My fathers pride in our local history was shared with me growing up. It's through them that my interests grew and I became what I am today. I am the Genealogy Subject Specialist for the Columbus Metropolitan Library (Ohio) and the first to hold this position. Since 2007 we have combined several major genealogy collections with our own. These were the State Library of Ohio (SLO), Palatines to America (PALAM), and the Franklin County Genealogical and Historical Society (FCGHS). I am a member of the National Genealogical Society, Ohio Genealogical Society, Franklin County Genealogical & Historical Society and Palatines to America (National & Ohio Chapter). I currently sit on the boards of both the Franklin County Genealogical and Historical Society and the Palatines To America (Ohio Chapter). I am the President of the FCGHS. |
