Genealogy Google Gadgets For iGoogle and Your Web Pages
Last week, Lisa Louise Cook of the Genealogy Gems Podast released a wonderful video in the premium section of her web site which explains how to create your own Google Gadget using a text editor tool provided by Google.
This got me thinking. So I spent a few minutes reading about the Google Gadgets API and quickly discovered that there would not be much of a learning curve for me to learn how to create them myself. After all, I run a technology business that specializes in web-based programming. I better be able to handle this! The hardest part was deciding which one to build first.
Anybody who has HTML and/or Javascipt deveopment skills and a HTML/Text editor can create the Gadgets. It really wasn’t hard. Maybe in a future post, I’ll give you directions on how to do them yourself, but for now, here are the link to the few I made last night.
