My name is Phil Hayes.  I am the developer of this site and an avid genealogist.  I live in Monroe, CT with my wife and three sons.  I  am addicted to genealogy and spend hours on it in  one way shape or form everyday.

Hi Phil.  I think I met you a while back in New York.  Great looking site.  I can't wait to see who else joins.  This could be really useful!  Will you be offering any records search?

My Mom is the BIG genealogist in our family although I have been having fun with it for the last couple of years.  I am by no means a professional, but I have learned much in my fours years of doing it.

Hi Phil and Kevin,  WOW  this site really is new!  ~laughs~  My name is Kristine Hurd and I have been doing Family Research for about 25 years now.  Very extensively in the last 15 years.  I live in Washington State with my son.

I am hoping that this site will be helful for genealogist.  I know that this is a new site and is just starting, so I am willing to help if I can.  I thought Facebook was going to be a social outlet for genealogy at one time, but it has turned into game central.  ~laughs~  I would like to be able to talk to others about family research.  The ups and downs.   I look forward to the more joining us here, thank you for the website.

Kristine

Hi, I'm Tami Glatz. I lecture around the US on using the internet effectively for genealogical research. I'm currently the president of the SL chapter of the Assoc. of Professional Genealogists, which meets in the virtual world Second Life, and I created a free downloadable toolbar of great genealogy websites - with nearly 1500 users currently (http://relativelycurious.ourtoolbar.com) I'm always looking for great websites

Hi Philip

I have just joined the site.  I am living in Cork, Ireland.  I have successfully designed and launched our family tree website www. bearefamilytree.com.  I have over 800 people still to add so a work in progress for definite.  I love genealogy and have been hooked on it for over 20 years.  I am still discovering relatives all over the world which is great, and lots more still to find so the hunt continues.

I am looking forward to exploring this site in more detail.  It looks great

Regards

Elaine Beare.

Hi, I am Jerry Murdock. I just found this site and signed up. I am retired from the US Coast Guard and have been working on my genealogy for about 25 years. I was born and raised in Texas, and all but two of my ancestral lines were in the colonies before the American Revolution. One of those (Joseph Murdock) came in as a surgeon with the British Army during the revolution and the other (?  Clark) immigrated from the UK to New York - probably in the 1830s - 1840s.

Most of my ancestors (except only the New York Clarks) were in the Southern states before the Civil War, and many of them served in the Confederate Army.

My father's line includes Murdock, Clark, Dotson(twice), Lively, Prewitt and Cannon, and one unknown (American born wife of the immigrant Clark).

My mother's line includes Warren, Barker, Beckham, Allbritton, McCrary, Middlebrooks, Neely, and Lewis.

Great to see you all here.  Sorry for the slow start-up.  Things got a little crazy for a while.  Hopefully we are back on track to keep the content rolling in.

If you have any suggestions, we'd love to here them!

Phil
